About the Panelists:
Sarah Morgan is a Human Resources executive with nearly 20 years experience as an active practitioner across several industries.
In 2011, Sarah began her blog The Buzz on HR which led to a successful side hustle as a writer, consultant and speaker.
Sarah has been named to HR Blogger Network’s Top 40 under 40, the Recruit Daily Top 300 Women in HR Technology, and the XperHR UK List of Top Global HR Voices. The Buzz on HR has been named to the Proven Best HR Blogs, the BambooHR Top HR Blogs, the Wonolo Top 25 HR Practitioners' Blogs, and the PayScale Top 25 Must-Read HR Blogs for consecutive years.
Sarah is also a wife and mother living outside Raleigh, North Carolina. When not writing, speaking or practicing HR, she enjoys speaking out against oppression, binge watching TV and taking cardio-dance classes.
Kandia Johnson transformed her life from working as a corporate communications
consultant for a Fortune 500 company to founder of Kandid Conversations LLC, a
communications consulting and training company.
Leveraging her 15 years of experience working with senior leaders and employees
from companies such as Deloitte Consulting, Johnson & Johnson, and The U.S. Navy, Kandia started her own company to teach people how to become confident
influential leaders in their fields. Through workshops and one-to-one coaching,
she’s helped her clients land executive positions, launch global awareness
campaigns, land TV roles, speaking engagements and media coverage.
Beyond being featured in Forbes, Business Insider, Black Enterprise, and more,
Kandia has delivered presentations on stages throughout the United States and
Africa. To date, she’s been invited to speak at conferences and events for influential
brands such as The South by Southwest (SXSW) Conference, Harvard University
Business School, Williams Sonoma, The James Beard Foundation, The WIE
Symposium and African Women in Technology.
Kandia graduated from Delaware State University with a BA in Public Relations and
earned an MS in Secondary Education from Old Dominion University.
