About the Instructor: Bie Aweh is an experienced equity & inclusion and social justice thought leader. Solution orientated, powerful social visionary, dynamic facilitator, passionate travel enthusiast, and extreme cross-fitter. Her work directly supports diversity & inclusion initiatives in the innovation economy (technology) and higher education, with a specific focus on recruitment, retention, learning and development. Her goal is to help her audience re-frame and think beyond obligatory "diversity trainings" and "unconscious bias trainings,” thus empowering participants to see dialogue as opportunities for self and professional development. Bie, a native of Boston, Massachusetts is a full time UC Berkeley staff member and a founding member of HBCUtoStartup (Historically Black Colleges & Universities).
